Estimada comunidad lectora:
A mediados del pasado mes de octubre 2022, me uní, en
calidad de director, al equipo de trabajo de Yulök. La in-
esperada oportunidad que me brindó la vida de formar
parte de esta comunidad la recibo con gran regocijo, y
con una alta dosis de realidad ante el reto y la gran res-
ponsabilidad que implica contribuir en la dirección de
una revista de innovación académica.
Como profesional en gestión de proyectos e innovación,
vengo a sumar fuerzas para materializar en el medio pla-
zo, el anhelo compartido de muchos miembros de esta
comunidad: el de impulsar la revista como instrumento
para la consecución de la calidad del conocimiento cien-
tífico y en particular como instrumento que fomenta la
innovación académica bajo el enfoque filosófico, huma-
nista-científico del modelo educativo de la Universidad
Técnica Nacional.
En esta sétima edición (volumen 7 No. 1), presentamos
un variopinto menú de artículos que engloban varías
áreas o disciplinas temáticas del conocimiento, cuya lec-
tura sabemos de antemano, van a disfrutar, y que confia-
mos plenamente serán sustento para otras publicaciones,
artículos y futuras investigaciones científicas.
El primer artículo de esta edición se titula: “Limitaciones
y factores de éxito del emprendimiento femenino: Una
perspectiva costarricense”, de Carlos Sandoval-Álvarez
de la Escuela de Administración de Negocios de la Uni-
versidad de Costa Rica. El artículo profundiza en las his-
torias de vida de 3 mujeres emprendedoras de renombre
para descubrir las motivaciones, limitaciones y factores
de éxito del surgimiento del emprendimiento femenino
exitoso.
El segundo artículo se titula: “Modelo de ventilador arti-
ficial UTN contra Covid 19”, escrito por los Ingenieros
Heriberto Salazar Agüero e Ingeniera Ana Beatriz Vargas
Badilla, docentes de la Carrera de Ingeniería Electrónica
de la Sede Central de la Universidad Técnica Nacional.
El documento explica el desarrollo del primer prototipo
de ventilador respiratorio elaborado en la Universidad
Técnica Nacional, desde su conceptualización, organiza-
ción, ensamblaje, ensayos y puesta en marcha, desde el
contexto mecánico hasta la tecnicidad digital.
El desarrollo de este prototipo nos llena de mucho orgullo
en Yulök, y es una clara evidencia del talento existente en
el personal docente y estudiantil de la UTN, cuyo trabajo
conjunto permitió crear un modelo de producto tecnoló-
gico a bajo costo con una finalidad social en el área de
salud durante la pandemia de COVID-19.
El tercer artículo se titula: “El Modelo de Indagación
como Metodología de apoyo en un Curso de Inglés In-
tegrado”, de César Alberto Navas Brenes. El artículo
presenta los resultados de un estudio llevado a cabo en
un curso de inglés integrado de la Universidad de Costa
Rica, los cuales muestran la percepción estudiantil acerca
de la actual modalidad de instrucción, la implementación
de actividades mediadas por las TIC y un entorno virtual
de aprendizaje, así como sus opiniones en cuanto a las
estrategias docentes que mejor se adaptarían al curso de
inglés.
El cuarto artículo se titula: “Bibliometría y métricas al-
ternativas: Aportes de la producción científica en Scopus
Elsevier (1999-2020) para las políticas públicas sobre ju-
ventudes”, de Carmen Gómez Brenes de la Escuela de
Sociología de la Universidad Nacional. El artículo anali-
za los aportes teóricos y metodológicos de la producción
científica registrada en Scopus Elsevier, correspondiente
al período 1999-2020, acerca de juventudes, relaciones
intergeneracionales e intrageneracionales para la formu-
lación, implementación y evaluación de política pública.
El quinto artículo se titula: “Rupturas coloniales, forma-
les y patriarcales en el discurso poético de tres contempo-
ráneos en Centroamérica de Cristopher Montero Corrales
de la Dirección de extensión y del área de formación hu-
manística de la Universidad Técnica Nacional, y docente
de la Universidad Nacional. El artículo estudia el dis-
curso poético contemporáneo en Centroamérica durante
la segunda década del siglo XXI a partir de los libros
