Moderate Mediation Analysis Using Structural Equations: An Approach for Business Management Research
Main Article Content
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to provide a methodological-conceptual guide on the application of moderated mediation analysis for researchers in the area of business management. It offers comprehensive and practical orientation on how to conceive, design, and examine research models that seek to test very complex conditional indirect effects using structural equation modeling. To this end, a hypothetical model is created to serve as an illustration of the model design process and its analysis. The techniques described here can uncover the more subtle mechanisms by which cause-effect relationships occur and can be applied to all types of cases or particular study phenomena. The study provides researchers with a deeper understanding of moderated mediation and its verification process, which can contribute to substantially strengthen the quality and results of research using the fundamental concepts, robust methodologies and analytical processes offered here.
