2023: ROL DE LA UTN FRENTE A LA DECLARATORIA CONARE “UNIVERSIDADES PÚBLICAS ANTE EL CAMBIO CLIMÁTICO”

La Universidad Técnica Nacional, en la coyuntura de un año especialmente difícil, ha tomado un liderazgo reflejado en una nutrida representatividad de acciones, tanto a nivel de la comunidad universitaria interna, desde sus Sedes y Centro de Formación Pedagógica y Tecnología Educativa, como a nivel de la exitosa integración de la participación interuniversitaria pública y dediferentes sectores de la sociedad costarricense. Por consiguiente, se ha mostrado compromiso en el gran reto de afrontar de manera valiente y decidida, incluso en las calles, para la defensa de la educación pública en los procesos de negociación del Fondo Especial para la Educación Superior (FEES) 2024, tanto con la Comisión de enlace, como con representantes de la Asamblea Legislativa; y para asegurar recursos financieros que permitan, precisamente, entre otras prioridades, la implementación de más acciones de transversalización estratégica de la sostenibilidad como respuesta al Plan Nacional de Educación Superior Universitaria (PLANES) 2021-2025 y posterior. Así, se ha desarrollado un cronograma de eventos y se han concretado hitos de gran relevancia para demostrar, con creces, la pertinencia del quehacer universitario como un faro del pensamiento crítico en el contexto nacional actual y futuro.
