Academic processes to foster improvement and innovation in teaching. The case of Universidad de Deusto (País Vasco, España)
Main Article Content
Abstract
The University of Deusto (UD) has implemented a Quality Assurance System to ensure improvement and innovation in their degree programmes and faculties.
Innovation in degree programmes and their teaching methods requires the development of a number of academic processes, which may result in inputs for the ongoing improvement of the teaching/learning process. This university uses a computer-based process manager to ensure effective management of the implementation of the academic processes involved in the Quality Assurance System. This helps the parties involved in this improvement to take an active part in the activities being developed whenever necessary. This descriptive case study shows the academic
experience developed by the University of Deusto in the Basque Country (Spain), in its commitment to excellence.
