This article analyzes the quality of connectivity of the Aqua satellite for monitoring environmental variables, considering its data transmission capacity and geographical coverage in Costa Rica. The study included a bibliographic review of primary and secondary sources, such as books, journals, academic documents, and data provided by space agencies regarding satellites. Additionally, real-time link simulation software was employed with the Aqua satellite, complemented by a mathematical validation to evaluate the model's performance and identify errors to ensure result consistency. Based on this input, relevant data were obtained for configuring the ground antenna, demonstrating that the Aqua satellite link provides optimal communication compared to established references. Consequently, among the variety of satellites orbiting over Costa Rica (both stationary and non-stationary), the Aqua satellite exhibits exceptional connectivity conditions, facilitating the monitoring of various environmental variables.
