DISIA es un proyecto que promueve el “Diseño Innovador de Situaciones de Aprendizaje”, por parte de los profesores de las diversas carreras de la Sede Regional de San Carlos. Este busca romper la rutina académica de proyectar un concepto, practicarlo y dejar una tarea sobre lo mismo. Hoy, como la primera universidad pública del Siglo XXI en Costa Rica, se debe cambiar el modelo tradicional y empezar a vivir en cada clase o en cada actividad, el conocimiento práctico, el Saber - Hacer - Ser.
