Abstract

The Arjé Academic Journal, part of the Pedagogical Training and Educational Technology Center at the National Technical University (UTN) in Costa Rica, is a diamond open-access electronic publication. Since 2018, it has disseminated research on pedagogy and technical education. The term Arjé, meaning origin or foundation, reflects the journal's commitment to exploring the roots of knowledge in technology and teaching. This special edition, "Engineering from the Classrooms," provides an academic space to analyze the intersection between pedagogy and engineering. Its primary goal is to demonstrate how innovative practices and models integrated with emerging technologies can significantly transform the training of technical professionals. In an environment defined by digital transformation, this work provides teachers and researchers with practical tools to strengthen educational quality across Latin America. Furthermore, this initiative aligns with the National Technical Education Plan, emphasizing STEM competencies for sustainable development. By documenting empirical evidence and proposing theoretical frameworks that link theory and practice, the journal promotes an engineering pedagogy adapted to modern demands. Finally, Arjé reaffirms itself as an open and critical forum, thanking the dedication of authors and reviewers in its mission to inspire transformative actions that support the future of higher education.
