My name is Dayana Garita Ramírez. I’m from Cartago, and I work as a professor at the National Technical University, where I also lead the representative theater group Arena y Sol.
My journey in the performing arts began in 2010, when I was introduced to amateur theater and discovered a form of expression that deeply transformed me.
In 2013, I joined the group Giratablas, and the following year I entered the National Theater Workshop (Taller Nacional de Teatro), where I graduated in 2015 with the play Historias de Fusil.
That stage was key in solidifying my commitment to theater—not only as a craft, but as a way of inhabiting the world.
