El académico universitario debe reinventarse, puesto que el conocimiento es dinámico y se transforma día con día. No se puede seguir con los postulados del paradigma Positivista en los procesos formativos, que exalta la figura del profesor y le otorga ser el portador del conocimiento y la verdad. Bajo este contexto privilegia el uso excesivo de la memoria, el control, la uniformidad y solo el pensamiento racional. Es necesario un cambio de mirada, como lo dicta el paradigma Emergente, en el que se tome en cuenta el sentir del estudiante, el autodescubrimiento, los procesos reflexivos y las experiencias interactuantes.
