La discapacidad como categoría social: somos personas y mujeres exitosas académicamente en la Educación Superior

En el presente artículo se reflexiona sobre los elementos que configuran la discapacidad como categoría social y su impacto en las vidas cotidianas de las mujeres en condiciones de discapacidad. Debido a la naturaleza de este manuscrito, se efectúan diversas reflexiones de teóricos referentes a la temática. Por tal motivo, no se presenta un proceso metodológico como tal, sino se realiza una revisión de autorías que han venido reflexionando en los ejes temáticos expuestos. Finalmente, se analiza como los habitus y las estructuras constituyen la categoría social de discapacidad y mediante el diálogo discursivo entre “undoing gender” y “undoing disability”, brindan algunas pistas para deconstruir la discapacidad como categoría social.
